Difficulties
In casting an image of Luang Pu Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen was not an easy feat. The efforts to cast his image were obstructed by various obstacles, such as:
- The monk who possesses overwhelming virtues, greatness, and is the pure and complete field of merit, Luang Pu Wat Paknam is one who is rare. One must cultivate perfections greatly, or have enough Dhamma so that people of that era have great faith enough to cast his image in gold.
The gold is highly valuable, making each casting is difficult. To have people to initiate casting an image in gold is highly difficult. Therefore, casting this image in gold is a difficulty opportunity to find.
- There are far and few people in this world who can bring the hearts and minds of many to accomplish casting an image in gold.
Those who think to cast an image an image of Luang Pu Wat Paknam must have cultivated merit with him before. Even if they have not cultivated merit with him before, they must have enough personal merit from the past to be able feel in awe and have the wisdom to cultivate merit for oneself.
If we are ones who have little wealth but possess great faith, think to join in casting his image according to their ability, in this life, we may not be able to encounter such great merit opoortunity due to our limited wealth.
- Even people who have much wealth they are able to cast a whole image of Luang Pu Wat Paknam with their own funds, the power from casting the image is not as powerful as the casting of the image by the mass of laymen who have great faith in coming together. In the future, even those who possess wealth have passed, those who will take care and maintain the golden image is hard found as that image does not belong to the people. Those who feeling of the mass laymen who have helped in taking care and maintaining would not happen, in the same way, casting a golden image would not happen from the mass laymen if only one person were to cast it.
